... Three different touch boards introduce children to the concept of rough and smooth in a playful way and prepare them for writing. By focusing on the sense of touch, children develop fine motor control and the so-called "ease of touch" that is important for fluent handwriting. The three boards offer different levels of difficulty: from the contrast between rough and smooth to the promotion of finger coordination and subtle gradations in five textures.
