The American Shorthair probably originates
... from the predecessors of todays British Shorthair, which were brought to North America by British settlers. It is a very athletic cat, with a slender and powerful body. It is medium to large in size, strong and muscular, not too compact, but supple. The coat is short, dense, firm and glossy. Cats are pure carnivores and prefer to hunt their food themselves. The PVC-free play figure is lifelike and hand-painted. It has been awarded the "spiel gut" seal of quality.
